The bill (Reg. No. 2567a) aims at protecting rights and interests of consumers-legal entities in their relations with banks when the heir receives a deposit of the deceased depositor.
It is suggested supplement part five of article 1061 of the Civil Code of Ukraine with a provision, under which interests on the bank deposit are being calculated until the day, prior to the day of its return to the heir of such a depositor.
Committee members believe that the legislative initiative is appropriate. However, certain provisions of the bill should be refined.
